More than 65 cryptocurrency firms, including industry heavyweights like Solana Policy Institute, Exodus, Pantera, and Uniswap Labs, have petitioned the Trump administration to accelerate regulatory clarity. Their collective letter outlines actionable steps for agencies including the SEC, CFTC, and Treasury to safeguard innovation amid a pivotal year for crypto policy.

The administration has already taken strides by overturning the IRS Broker Rule, advancing the GENIUS Act, and lifting restrictions on digital assets in retirement plans. Now, the coalition demands further tax clarity—specifically classifying staking and mining rewards as self-created property taxable only upon sale.

"The roadmap exists. Now agencies must act," asserts the solana Institute, referencing the President’s Working Group Report on Digital Assets as a blueprint for maintaining U.S. dominance in the sector.
